The Park Ballroom, located in the historic ODD-Fellows Building was originally constructed
in 1912. The building was used as a meeting hall, and the Ballroom hosted many events
bringing in a nice income for the group. During prohibition the Ballroom also hosted
many alcohol-related events and to the knowledge of the current owners, no arrests
were ever made.
As time passed most of the original members passed away and through
out most of the 60's, 70's and 80's the building sat vacant. The current owners, Jim
and Terry Saunders, purchased the building in the mid 1990's and a massive renovation
began. The Ballroom has been restored back to its original beauty with the addition
of modern conveniences and safety measures. Today, you can reserve this beautiful Ballroom
for your special event and enjoy a piece of local history. |
